Pickleball Demos in Canmore and Airdrie

[Calgary] Volunteers with Pickleball Alberta and the Canadian Pickleball Federation have been travelling around southern Alberta offering free clinics and lessons over the past week.

On Friday, September 16, Paul and Wendy Rubner accompanied Brent Johner to the Canmore Seniors Centre where they offered a free one-hour clinic to about 20 pickleball players. The subject of the clinic was Team Movement.

Then on Wednesday evening, September 21, the same trio were at Genesis Place in Airdrie to kick off that facility’s new doubles pickleball program. Rules were the main topic of conversation at that event.

Pickleball Alberta and the Canadian Pickleball Federation offer several free clinics every month. The number and timing of such activities depends upon the availability of volunteers.
